My grandma was ANNA (born in Dubois) and my grandpa, RUDOLPH (born in Dents Run). My mom was PAULINE. She lived with my great-grandparents in FALLS CREEK during the Depression while my grandparents went off to look for work.
My mom talked of the china factory, Jackson. As a girl, she played in the discarded piles to look for broken dishware.
I have a treasured restaurant-ware sugar bowl from Jackson China that mom had since the diner on Broad St, Emporium closed. My grandparents were the landlords.
My grandparents & mom settled in Emporium. I still keep my Falls Creek sugar bowl in a special place.💗
