I don't believe that anyone is here, but my father, Bequette Capozzi(Scott), husband of Gloria Constable, daughter of Roy B. Constable and Blanche Marie Osborne, born and raised in Falls Creek, was nearly 1/2 Native American and this was our favorite movie. Mel Brooks was hilarious dressed up as a Lakota warrior, speaking Yiddish in that one scene. Both of us howled at that certain scene. If you know Yiddish, you pretty much understand the 'shticks'. Another favorite of ours was "The Frisco Kid" with Gene Wilder....dad could appreciate the humor, as can I.....a bit of family history....my father had a great relationship with my mom's family, and no one ever talked about the fact that he wasn't 'quite white'. He was a good man who actually saved the Constable stores from failing in 1945 which my cousins don't wish to admit, who now run the business today. "You're driving through Falls Ceeks, son. Your grandma's folks used to live here once, right Gloria?' dad said to me as we drove through FC in 1969,me at the wheel at nearly 14 on the way to Johnsonburg for a family reunion. I saw old buildings and mom said that her mom had bad memories from living there. The last time I came through there was 2010 and all I really saw was a small town. Didn't stop at all except to take some photos from the graveyard. You'll encounter those on 'Find a Grave'."Never forget that some of your people came from here, son." Dad had said was I drove northward away from F.C....so every time I see 'Blazing Saddles", I don't remember the movie scene itself, but what he said about never forgetting from where I came. Well, I haven't for a minute, but I'll not eat a 'schnikelgrubber', thanks, but what I wouldn't give for a taste of grandma's chicken 'pot pie' from her kitchen from above store on Market Street in J'burg!...Lazen Gein!!!(Let them go free)
