Hello Falls Creek... I am from Indianapolis, Ind. and my family has been searching for lost family members. My father's family is from your town and today we found our sole surviving uncle by phone there. Does anyone there know a James C. DeCarlo? He is around 83? On the phone he sounded like he was dealing with mild dementia and we are of course concerned for him as he is now alone since my aunt who lived with him has passed. I am getting his address as he said he has friends (neighbors) who check in on him occasionally so naturally I'd like to locate them. Any help would be greatly appreciated by my family.

I am from Falls Creek originally, but moved in 1988.
Jimmy DeCarlo gave me my first perm....
My mom had her hair done by him her entire life.
Nice man, but unfortunately , I've lost touch since moving.

HI, Jimmy is still around town, and the last time I talked to him, he was getting a little vague. I wouldn't feel right giving out his address but when I see him I could ask him if it's ok-you could email me: chiabennett@hotmail.com with a message to give him. My mom was one of the every week ladies that got their hair done in his shop-best of luck-Jimmy is a nice guy and he really misses Theresa being gone even though he has friends all over town.

Thanks for the responses! We have since called my uncle and yes he is suffering from dementia. We were also able to locate an in law who has been very helpful. I have his address also.
From the responses it seems my uncle Jim was a barber/ hairstylists? We didn't know that he had decided not to be a priest as was our last information about him. Wish we could have gotten to him sooner before we lost aunt Theresa but it just didn't work out that way.

Greetings from Detroit, we are the Turk/DeCarlo's from Falls Creek, James DeCarlo is our uncle, our mother was his sister and our father was one of the Turk's from Falls Creek. We would love to get in touch with family members that we have never met before. Was your father our Uncle Vic? We were just back in Falls Creek for our dad's brother's funeral and saw Uncle Jimmy and some other cousins. Would like to know more about your family?
