I set up a new board and moved this here, where somebody might notice it.
I'll give my 2ยข on the Adam Lambert .......er....aahh....performance.
I thought it was hideous. It's okay to change a song to suit your style, but that was just plain sickening. It was country week, not wailing and screeching week.
Come on now, you know who you are, let's hear some input from you Idol fans.... ;D

OK, I'll admit it. I watch american Idol religiously. And I like Adam Lambert. I agree, maybe there was a little too much high-pitched stuff, especially at the end. But at least he's original and therefore, you remember him, unlike a lot of the others who simply sounded like boring karaoke renditions. Country week is always kind of shaky, and simon is usually in a bad mood for that show.
My personal favorite so far- Danny Gokey.
Over-rated- Scott McIntyre
Under-rated- Kris Allen
Sleeper- Allison(let her sing, don't make har talk anymore)
Who needs to step it up quick-Megan Joy(her songs suck, but she is hot)
I like the new judge by the way. She could take Paula's place and I wouldn't care.
I'll check back after tomorrow night's show.

Can you believe I have NEVER watched 'American Idol.' Just don't feel like I'm missing much. I like "Dancing with the Stars."

I know there are more than two of us watching, it is the most watched show in America. It's okay, you can admit it...   If you are a music fan, it's hard not to watch. I mean, how many other shows have live performances from the likes of Smokey Robinson AND Stevie Wonder.....on the same night? And of course there are talented new artists doing their thing too....with music from the legends of the recording industry....  For those that do watch, here is my take on last night, for what it's worth. Best of the night...Kris. Good night....Danny & Adam Okay....Alison Improved....Scott (still no hope) Everybody else....  Anoop, Megan, Matt and Lil ........what the hell were you thinking with those songs you picked....  I'm afraid my favorite, Megan is going to go home without ever singing a song that suited her voice....  Most bizarre Paula Moment... "There's Mick Jagger, Stephen Tyler...and then there's Adam Lambert." What is that woman smoking. My observation from last night.....I've often thought Paula writes, and/or, memorizes what she is going to say about a lot of the contestants, before the show, no matter how the performance goes. Now I'm certain of it. What the hell? She must have got a new Thesaurus. She had all kinds of big words last night, and you could see in her eyes that even she didn't understand what she was saying.... |

I'd have to say you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Kris was really good last night, and right now looks as if he belongs in the final four with Danny, Adam, and Allison. (I thought she was pretty darn good last night, but all they wanted to talk about was her outfit and hair which put a negative vibe on the performance.)
Then there's the next group who has potential but are either getting boring or are just plain inconsistent which automatically puts them on the bubble-Big Rounds, Matt, Anoop, and Scott. You know, if you close your eyes and just listen to Scott, he's actually pretty good. But his facial expressions are starting to bother me, and it's as if he has a hamster running around in his shorts while he sings.
Then there's Megan. She's had four weeks to show something and unfortunately she hasn't, other than an uncanny ability to choose really stupid songs, and that she has no coordination and has a really strange hip-shaking action going on. You know, she's definately hot enough, and if she could only shake her hips like Beyonce, I'd be all for putting her through to the end despite her stupid performances. But she dances like me, and therefore, if she's not gone after tonight, I'll be shocked, and actually disappointed.
