Not to listen to music....those sites are a dime a dozen. This site has content, an amazing amount of content related to Rock 'n' Roll artists from the '50s, '60s, and 70's. Hundreds of detailed biographies of groups of those eras, all kinds of chart info, trivia, and about anything you can imagine concerning music from that era. Somebody really put a lot of work into the site. I couldn't force myself to exit the site for a week after I found it. I hope you enjoy it..... www.classicbands.com/index.htm

If the glass is half empty road toad, but surely there are more good memories than bad ones.

Funny, I never associate music with bad memories, only good... It's sort of like a trigger, a song comes on and good memories flow into my mind. The only negative might be a little longing for the old times, but the memories are always good...

Not always so with me. Depends on who I was going with and what was going on in my life at the time. Some of those old songs are nostalgic and others are 'tear jerkers'.
