Peanuts, weren't you on my little league team with the Administrator and I or were you on my minor league team? Seems to me we played on the same team.

I can remember when the good Reverend Myers got the Hummingbird closed down when he opened his Gospel Center down over the hill. All those drivers and fans were engaged in the devil's works. Then he really drove in the final spikes when someone suggested the "Bird" be used for a rock concert or a country western show. People around here were visualizing scenes of "Woodstock" and the fire and brimstone finally shut down the track. I was surprised to hear it managed to reopen after all those years. My mom lives above the Falls Creek Reservoir and can still here the cars run even with the noise of I-80 in the background.

shamu, I know what your mother means. Depending on how the wind is blowing, sometimes it seems those race cars are coming right through my house. I'm getting used to it and kind of enjoy hearing them now. what is more annoying is the endless drone of cars going by my house after the races are over. I suppose I should just quit harping and go watch the races.
