There's a small 'walk across' bridge somewhere in FC. I remember going across it, but haven't a clue to where it was. Anyone know?

The "footbridge". It was across the tracks from the end of First Street, where the new fire hall is located. It crossed to the creek to the tannery. It was used heavily, from what I'm told, in the days when the tannery was booming.
It got pretty well destroyed in the Agnes flood in '72. All that was left were two old railroad rails flopped on their sides. As a teenager I would still walk across those two rails, but chickened out as I got older.

Ah the footbridge. Gateway to a new playground. Would have liked to viewed the old icon in the early days. Any old tannery workers that could shed some light on when that was constructed?

its still there sort of pretty beat up my friends and i used to take it when we wanted to get to sheetz we had to go throw the woods so mom an dad wouldnt find out
