;D ;DWell, it is that time of year again. Halloween used to have a lot more preparation than what they do now. You used to have to get someone to raid a corn field and get a bunch of corn a few weeks before, and steal a bar of soap (or butter) from your nuclear 2 parent family for the windows of unsuspecting folks that we didn't like. We used to have 2 nights of Halloween from dusk until whenever you wanted to quit. Now it is 2 hours 1 night, and that is it. 4-6.....Boooo!!! Where have we come as a society? Now it is a crime to corn someone's windows. If you leave a bag of turds on someone's porch they will call the swat team and navy seals in. Where's the love??? How about some old stories from you readers. I know there are plenty...Halloween is a national holiday here as the southern people are very superstitious. They actually have 2 Halloween stores that double as a costume shop open all year in my fine city of 65,000. Now....... stories please!!!!

No one asked where all the toilet paper in the house went to.... or if a bar of soap went missing. Shucking corn off the cob til your hands bled, only to have it ripped from you by some town clown. Never got mine though! Lots of candy, and even some cash! Candy bars were huge back then. The weather never stopped us, we were out in it all, snow, rain, cold. It was Halloween and we ruled the town! I dare any of the young Falls Creekiens to venture up to that old school late on Halloween... it is haunted you know. Let me know how that goes! Happy Halloween!
