Here is a subject. What does everyone think of that mess? It makes me so angry and wonder how will they ever clean it all up and, how will the wildlife survive? Do they release the birds they clean up back out to get oil all over them again? How much is this all going to cost and who on earth is paying for it? What is this going to do to the economy not just down there but for restaurants around the area? I am very upset over this and think we need to treat our world much better. What kind of mess are we leaving to our children?

The thing that I can't believe is that they can't stop it. Holy crap, how many years have they been doing this and they never foresaw something like this happening..... They should have had a tried and true method of stopping this within a day or two. It's criminal negligence and should never be allowed again.

another thing that pisses me off is that there are some really good resourses that could be used to help clean up this mess but BP has said no to them. It is about time the Goverment takes over , bring in People that have ideas to clean this up and pass the bill on to BP. I hate to say this but the country is going to be paying the price for this tragedy for many, many years.

You got that right, it will be many years, decades I am afraid before the results of this mess is cleaned up. And, why didn't they have a way to shut this off??? How can this be? How can you start something and not know how to shut it off? It really just blows my mind, the stupidity!

I believe it's high time the federal government gets rid of all the red tape it has in these matters and set up a cabinet post with a person of knowledge that responds automatically to these large disasters and takes charge within days not weeks . Way to much time is lost while the bureaucracy muddles though red tape and indecision . and any corporation that is the cause of such a disaster should not be the one in charge of fixing it. As we have seen from the oil spill ( BP's description I call it a oil gusher) the companies keep hidden important information and bullshit the people to keep there image in tact.

I heard they found a way to stop the oil from coming out. They put a large wedding ring around it and it stopped putting out.
