We did go to the school and got to go inside. When I went to take pictures the batteries in my camera were dead. I am waiting for my sister to e-mail me the ones we took with her camera. It is a mess inside. I could remember each classroom, and the main office. Everything looked smaller to me then it did back in the day. The 6 stalls in the girls bathroom are still standing and painted in weird colors. Whatever the new owners are going to do with the inside I don't no, but they have alot of hard work ahead of them. They replaced 68 windows already. As soon as I can get my sister to e-mail me pics I will post them. We got to see Mrs Collins(Roger and Blairs mom) well we were there she looks just like she always has. hasn't aged a bit.

Gotta learn how to plan ahead. You don't go on a mission with dead batteries in your camera. Did you go up stairs? What about the big hall in the middle of the school, as I can remember the middle of the school in the up stairs there was a big hall. Don't know if hall is the right word or not. Third and fourth grade was on the side where the parking lot is, and in the middle was a big hall. On the other side were rooms that we never went in to. Can remember doing some kind of class things in the big hall, what those class things were I can't remember maybe some of our class mates can enlighten us.

As I remember, Mrs. Ankeny's third grade and Mrs. Showers' fourth grade classrooms were on the left side of the building...toward Collins' house. The kindergarten took up the entire back with the junglegym and playhouse. On the right side, toward Clark's house was a cloakroom right outside of Mrs. Sinclair's kindergarten and the library beside that. The only room I remember at the front was the nurse's (Miss Wingard) office that doubled as Mr. Bianco's speech classroom on days he was there. That really brought back memories...Mrs. Ankeny tapping her fingernails...her LONG fingernails on the blackboard before she'd leave the room to ensure quiet. Ooh, I still get the chills thinking of that!

I can remeber going out to the playground (where the parking lot is now) and playing baseball during recess. There was also an ash pile some where. Also the music room towards the front of the building too and NOT being allowed to go down the terace or you would be in trouble. But when there was snow on it, WOW what a great ride.
AND don't forget Mrs. Ankeny's ruler!!!
